Each quarry at Alberene produces unique variations in the soapstone.  Schedule a visit with us to hand select your unique stone—by appointment only, please.

Our business office is open from 8 am – 5 pm Monday through Friday, and our soapstone plant is open 7:30 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday. All material pick up and deliveries should be scheduled between 7:30 am and 3:30 pm to ensure that fork lift operators are available for assistance.

All plant visitors must come to the office first to receive necessary safety orientation and personal safety protective equipment including a hard hat and safety glasses and ear protection. Please do not wear open toe shoes for your visit in that they are not allowed in the plant.

Additionally, please be advised that the Commonwealth of Virginia Department Mines, Minerals and Energy Division of Mineral Mining regulations do not allow persons under 18 years of age in the operating plant.
